I had the privilege of being hired to shoot at part of the 2009 X Games, at the Honda Center, for a group called NAMM. This year, NAMM was responsible for some of the music entertainment, and put on a really great time. They hosted a tent showcasing their wonderful organization---NAMM was founded in 1901 and is "dedicated to expanding the market and giving people of all ages the opportunity to experience the proven benefits of making music". People were welcome to play electric drum kits, keyboards, synthesizers, guitars, basses and DJ turntables with mixers---it was quite the hit! Not to mention the live performances by Ray Barbee, The Mattson 2, and Panther, among others!
